November 8th, 2009 The Society held its 22nd annual Cardinal Cushing Award Banquet at Boston College High School, in Boston, Massachusetts. This year the Society recognized The Honorable James T. Brett, Mr. & Mrs. Robert B. Crimmins, and The Most Reverend Robert F. Hennessey. The banquet was preceded by a Mass in the BC High chapel. Bishop Hennessey celebrated the Mass, with Society Director Rev. Kevin Hays, current Society members and alumni, and Boston priests concelebrating. The dinner was opened with the Invocation given by Bishop Hennessey, and welcoming remarks by Rev. Kevin Hays. Mr. Dan Rea was the Master of Ceremonies for the evening. Cardinal Sean O'Malley presented the Cardinal Cushing Award to the recipients, and the evening came to a close with Most Reverend John P. Boles giving the Benediction.

There were almost two hundred people in attendance at this year's banquet. Present were friends and family of the recipients, supporters of the Society, priests of the Archdiocese of Boston, and many others.
